  MVA Emergency Contact Option

Maryland’s Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) has added an emergency contact option to Maryland driver’s licenses. Maryland drivers can now add three emergency contacts to their driver’s license # so police will know who to call if an accident occurs. The emergency contact information is stored electronically with an individual’s driver’s license # and will be available only to authorized law enforcement personnel. Go to MVA’s website by clicking on this link.   Then, select “Emergency Contacts” to add your emergency contacts.

Calvert County Launches Interactive Map to Highlight Paving and Sealing Projects

Calvert County Government has launched a new interactive map that will let the public see where paving and sealing projects are being scheduled on the county’s roadways this spring.
Check out the 2015 paving and sealing map and search for upcoming projects by zip code or just browse the map to review the projects and check their status. As the roadwork schedules are finalized for the spring and summer, the map will be updated to provide the current information.
The map is part of a larger set of interactive GIS maps offered by Calvert County Government to help the public virtually explore everything from the county’s parks and recreational facilities, to new construction, to the changes in the county’s landscape over the past 100 years.
